Auction-A Success Story

The MDC Goldenrod's 11th Annual Benefit Auction was a success and we have so many people to thank for this.

  • There is the tremendous committee who worked for many months to make it all happen
  • All of the individuals, churches and businesses who donated items and money
  • Everyone who came to volunteer, eat, purchase items and bid in the auctions
To all of you, a huge THANKS.

The ministry of MDC Goldenrod is so much more than staff and clients.  It takes all of you to help make it happen, and you did just that.  Thank you.

Project Promise Easter Play

The members of Project Promise want to tell the world about Jesus.  They will use a play to accomplish their mission.

The members of Project Promise are people with disabilities who meet several times a month for spiritual and social support.  For the past five winters, members of Project Promise have used their time together to rehearse The Easter Play.

Don Yost, a friend of many of the members of Project Promise, wrote The Easter Play.  Mike Sisson, another friend of Project Promise, and David Heusinkveld, the director of MDC Goldenrod, will co-direct this year's production.

People who have seen past performances tell about the emotional impact of the play, "The performers are so dedicated and honest that seeing the play has deepened my understanding of what the events of Easter mean."

The performances are open to the public. There is no admission fee however there will be a freewill offering taken during the performance.  The Project Promise actors have set aside a portion of the offerings to send relief to Haiti.

Performances are at Bethany Christian School's Chapel.  Bethany is located at 2904 S. Main Street in Goshen.

The dates and times for the performances are, Saturday, March 27 at 3:00 pm and Sunday, March 28 at 4:00 and 6:00 pm.

The chapel is often filled to capacity, so plan to arrive early.
